Google Home acknowledges turning on or off lights in one room and sounding a ding dong in another room

We attended a customer’s home where they were using the amazing Google Home to control their in different rooms. In each room they had a Google Home speaker.
In one room if the customer asked Google Home to turn off the lights say in the living room, Google would respond with “Turning off Living Room lights”. In another room with another speaker, Google would simply emit a ding dong tone when it turned the light on or off.

The customer wanted Google to emit the tone in all of the rooms when given an instruction.

The answer is that the Google Home speaker and device to be controlled, must be set up being in the same room in the Google Home application. Once this was done, Google no longer acknowledged every instruction.
