Hardware acceleration in Edge causes dropped frames and juddering in YouTube streaming videos

For many years, I have experienced YouTube videos to be jumpy and not smooth when I turn on the hardware acceleration in Microsoft Edge.
I finally found a fix posted on Reddit.
It involves typing edge://flags in your Edge’s address bar.
You are then presented with some choices.

There is a bug in Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) and possibly Chromium itself, regarding the rendering of WebGL programs on Windows 10 and 11 with NVIDIA and AMD Radeon Graphics.

Do a search for ANGLE and choose D3D9  from the drop down menu on the right.
For me, after doing that, the videos now play smoothly with no dropped frames or juddering.
