Yesterday we attended a customer’s home who was complaining about not being able to print from Internet Explorer 11 using Windows 7.
Every time that they attempted to print, they were presented with an error saying “There was an internal error, and Internet Explorer is unable to print this document”.
They could print from other programmes which led me to try the Microsoft resolutions presented in this knowledge base article.
Unfortunately none of these solutions worked!
The way that the problem was resolved, was to uninstall the printer driver via the “Uninstall a program” from the Control Panel and then reinstall the latest driver version from the manufacturer.
It just goes to show that a problem with the printer driver can cause isolated printing problems as was in this case.
