Windows Live Movie Maker Tips & Tricks

I thought that I would offer some tips & tricks gleaned from editing a family video using Windows Live Movie Maker.

1) When you “split” a video, make sure that you also split the audio otherwise the video and audio tracks will go out of sync when you delete a section. The splitting tool is accessed via the Video & Audio tabs.

2) When you add a “Title” to the video, it will not automatically add blank audio so that the video and audio tracks will go out of sync. What you need to do is to “Save movie” using the recommended settings and then import that finished file back into Movie Maker. Now you can manually add a title or credit or use add a “AutoMovie theme” and the audio & video will stay in sync.

Have fun!
